Traveling to London over the Summer. What should I expect?
-
Im gonna try and make the description blunt. Because im far to lazy to explain all the details. Im 16, and im traveling to London over the summer to see the Summer Olympics, as well as travel around Rome, and Paris. But im mainly gonna be in London. I'll be there for 2 months, and I was just wondering if its easy to make friends there? Is there alot of stuff to do for a teenager who will have alot of freedom and a very high budget? (my uncle is rich, lol.) Or will it be confusing and not all its cracked up to be?

Answer:
It's not "hot." The weather is going to be slightly chilly (in the 70's). So a light sweater. It will rain on several occasions. As for friends, eh. It depends where you go. I was in Camden last summer and there are tons of friendly people. It's hard to find a good, good place to eat, so you'll have to look around. I loved taking the bus around because it was fast, not crowded, and beautiful to go around London. Of course, you could take the tube. There are things there for a teenager to do. For example, you can go to a Tumblr meetup (if you have Tumblr). Shop on Oxford Street, visit Hyde Park, etc. It's not confusing if you know where you're going, but there are maps and signs. It's a good thing everything is in English. It's not what you immediately expect but I love London and can't wait to go back. Though, the area around Westminster Abbey is PACKED! HAVE FUN!

In Summer here in London it gets to 20C, we are very nice people, and expect cloudy weather. The people here in London are like you see them in TV Shows, Dads Army, Fawlty Towers, not Vicar of Dibley, but defiantly The Inbetweeners. Unfortunately you are choosing the worst time of the year to go, and you are going to be crushed by tourists, it's summer, and the Olympics are on, GOD SAVE US ALL!!!!!!!
