What's a good place to live in London?

• When I was two Years old I lived in Dartford, London. but then moved to Somerset. I now want to go back to London for its a good place for me, with Jobs and Education, etc. Where is a good place in London? I mainly want the Low Crime Areas, thanks. And also this will be my first house that I live in alone, thanks. And I do no what I'm getting into, so please don't tell me to move to Bristol or Sheffield, because my job, etc isn't there.

It's mostly drab there, unfortunately. Near to Dartford are nicer areas within the London boroughs of Bexley and Bromley. There are far too many people for the available jobs in Greater London, so it's tough to make ends meet here unless you're fortunate with your employment. There is also a contrast between those who work in small offices/shops/industrial areas close to their homes and those who make the considerable commute to full-time jobs in the centre. The best advice is to be flexible with your work location and your home location, whilst being wise about realistic travel times so that you have an acceptable commute.
