Answer:
Stamford Bridge is a small village in Yorkshire and is best known as the site of a battle in 1066. It does not have a station on the London Underground. Stamford Bridge is also the name of a football stadium in West London. It is close to Fulham Broadway Station on the Wimbledon branch of the District Line. If as you say, the tube is not running on that day, an alternative route is to use any train from Waterloo Main Line Station to Clapham Junction and change to an 'Overground' train to Imperial Wharf station which is just under a mile walk to the ground via Lots Road. King's Road, Wandon Road & passageway and Fulham Road. Using the 'Overground' will probably be easier and quicker than a replacement bus service. Clapham Junction is the terminus for the 'Overground' line and Imperial Wharf is the first stop.

Hi Stamford Bridge is Chelsea's home ground. You will need to go to Fulham Broadway station. If you go to the transport for London website, and enter in where you are going from and too it will give you up to date info on how to get there. It will tell you if tube lines are not running, and alternative routes like buses. Normally they will run rail replacement buses too. http://www.tfl.gov.uk/ I hope this helps. p.s. There is a station called Stanford brook which is out near Chiswick. Be careful to go to the right place, we wouldn't like you to miss the game :)

Catch a 211 bus from Waterloo Station to Fulham Broadway. Take the exit from the concourse near Platform 1 and turn left outside to locate the bus stop which is beyond the taxi rank

hello, you need the station Fulham Broadway, which is on the district line. That station is open tomorrow. At Waterloo get on the jubliee line (grey line) one stop west bound to Westminster. At Westminster you can get on the district line, because it is not working between Embankment and Upney/Barking. Westminster Station is one stop after Embankment. The distict line train you need to get on should say Wimbledon on the front. www.tfl.gov.uk will tell you about all the closures. there are replacement buses, but the tube will be quicker, and the route above is what you would take even if all the train lines were working.

Where did you get that information? There is no station or area in London called Stamford Bridge, did you mean Stamford Brook? All relevant tube lines for a journey from Waterloo to Stamford Brook or either Stamford Bridge are running.
