  In reality its just a term the retail agents made up in my mind. The difference is depending in which way you are coming from Upper Abbey Wood is past the woods and up a little hill and Abbey Wood is before the woods and as I said they are divided by the woods and from the other way you have to drive down up a hill to get to Upper Abbey Wood and most people just say they live in Abbey Wood except for those real snobs who feel like they have to divide themselves and say they live in Upper Abbey Wood but my friends who live in Upper Abbey Wood just call it Abbey Wood. Upper Abbey Wood is generally nicer housewise as its more quiet and the houses are usually semi-detached with drives it doesn't have much like shops maybe 1 or 2 corner shops and it isn't very big as it cuts into Belvedere and Bexleyheath after a while. While in Abbey Wood you do get nice houses but you are more likely to see detached houses and people parking on the road and they have estates. Abbey Wood area and population wise is also bigger then Upper Abbey Wood. I think Upper Abbeywood tends to have more richer people while in Abbey Wood is a mix as they have some real nice houses and parts are nice but they also have poor parts where the people aren't so rich and it looks more run down. I live in Abbey Wood but I don't live by the train station I live kinda behind bostall heath (a big park in the middle of the woods) and its very quiet. Abbey Wood also has the school (St. Pauls) but I don't live near that and Abbey Wood has more amenities such as the train station and more shops. I don't really know what the co-op estate though....
