Is there such thing as a monthly pass for the London underground?

London travel pass thing- £1 for underground and buses?

  • Last Summer the man at the till in the London underground sold us these great ravel passes for zones 1-6 with buses and the underground, they were great, like day passes and they were £1 (or £2). Does anyone know what they were called because we're going to London again today and we're nearly there; we have to use the underground as soon as we arrive so please answer ASAP and thank youvery much in advance!! • Answer:

Well you can get an off-peak child's day travelcard for £2 that goes to zones 1-6. But I've never seen an adult one that cheap. Here's the information I think you're looking for: Children: http://www.tfl.gov.uk/tickets/faresandtickets/oneand3daytickets/2905.aspx Adults: http://www.tfl.gov.uk/tickets/faresandtickets/oneand3daytickets/2911.aspx

They are a lot more than £1! You're best bet is to buy an Oyster card which are £3 and are like a top up card so you can load anything from £5 upwards onto them. They make travel cheaper than if you were to use cash (eg a bus fare on oyster is 90p as opped to £2 in cash) hope this helps!

A Travelcard costs between £5-7. It's worth it. Cheaper than Oyster if you make 3+ journeys per day.
