Please i would like to know. Is london a dangerous city to ride through the city at night or to walk alone?

    BoJo the Clown our beloved mayor is a cyclist & the only problem he seems to have is being stalked by the Daily Mirror. My father is a shift worker who cycles everywhere, he's never had a problem at night except for the odd puncture. You'll soon learn the roads & where the danger spots are (dodgy red lights, blind corners, etc). Drivers as rule don't like cyclists & vice versa. You should go down to your local bike shop or see if there's a cycling group near you that you can chat to about your area. Make sure you have a sturdy chain & padlock to lock up your bike & don't ever make the mistake of leaving it unopened because you're going into a shop for five minutes. I was in central London last night around 1am....it was full of great people having a great time and I always feel safe. I have lived in London for 23 years and although it does have problems as do all big cities its one of the world's greatest cities.

yas and no - it is like any place - it has it's good part and its bad - the point though - you go to london...walk tall as man has the right to do....and prove those no-good ppl who are causing trouble that they are worth nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It really depends on where in the city you were. There are some places you would be 100% but others very dangerous, like any other major city London has it all.

London is no different to an other large city in Europe,there are parts which are reasonably safe and others which are virtual no go areas.

You do have to be careful. There are quite a lot of dodgy people.

If you're in the centre then it's fine. Make sure you've got lights on your bike and that you obey the lights etc. Traffic can be busy but if you wear a reflective stripe then you'll be seen. Being seen is your main problem in the dark, nothing to do with London!

No, it's not dangerous. I wouldn't recommend wandering around some of the Council Estates - but I also can't think of any reason why you would.

It's the same as any big city and would not reccomend walking alone.
