Are hostels in London safe?

Recommendations for London Hostels?

I am looking for any recommendations for hostels for the solo traveler in the downtown London area. I am looking for a younger (18-35) scene and looking to be near the sights, the underground, and any good pubs and restaurants. Thanks for you help.

There is one in Kings Cross and one in Spitalfields, but the Kings Cross one is probably better for you as it's more central and has good transport links.
