Can you suggest a great trendy London hotel (moderate to expensive) with decent rooms?

    One Aldwych (near Covent Garden) - exciting, contemporary rooms. It's quite new and probably expensive. Blakes in Kensington - created by one-time starlet, Anouska Hempel. A model for the "fashionable small hotel" in London and elsewhere. I understand she designed all the rooms personally. The Lanesborough (Knightsbridge, 5-10 mins walk to Harrods and Harvey Nichols) - apparently gracious and designed as an early 19th century residence. You can type these names into your search engine to find out more. There are also the Savoy, Ritz, Claridges and Browns for a real taste of England!
