Where can I find a cheap hotel in London?

HELP ME!!! I need to find a cheap but CLEAN and CENTRAL hotel/bed&breakfast in LONDON!!!?

I need to stay in central London, possibly not far from victoria station ( I come from Italy and my airport is Stansted,the last day I have to depart at 6.10, so I need to take the terravision bus from victoria ); In the evening I would like to go to pubs/clubs , so what about the zone?     Since I don't know your budget, here are three suggestions. First, the Luna & Simone Hotel. It's in Victoria, so it's right where you need to be. Basic single rooms cost £35-£45 and single rooms with their own toilet and shower cost £55-£65. These prices include a continental breakfast. It's one of the cheapest hotels or bed-and-breakfasts ("b&bs") in central London and one of the few that I'd recommend. Here's the hotel's own website: http://www.lunasimonehotel.com. People on TripAdvisor usually say good things about it, too. Definitely the loveliest way to do b&b in central London, but maybe too expensive. Single rooms cost from £80 per night. If you join the Couchsurfing community you become part of a network of more than 500,000 people across the world who offer other CS members a free place to stay, in their own homes. No one takes any money -- it's all done voluntarily. Have a look at the website -- http://www.couchsurfing.com . You'll need to write a nice descriptive profile of yourself on the Couchsurfing site, with a photo of you. And get 'verified' to at least Level 2 -- see here: http://www.couchsurfing.com/safety.html As a new member, this is the only way you can show that you are who you say you are. Then you look through some of the London host members (there are several thousand) and write a few of them a request. Most hosts do say whether they live centrally or in the outer zones. Make these requests individual letters: remember, you're asking for an invitation to someone's home. =) CouchSurfing is a wonderful way of travelling. Even if you decide not to stay with anyone, there are lots of social events which are good for making friends and exploring London. The Lancaster Hall Hotel near Lancaster Gate tube station. Right by Hyde Park and very central, and close to Paddington tube and rail station too. This hotel was called the German YMCA until recently, it is still subsidised by the German Church, has fabulous plumbing, very good prices, scrupulous cleanliness, great buffet breakfast, and the only place I ever stay in London. I used to live in London for 30 years. Oh and the prices are good too!

London has many budget B&Bs that are central, clean and offer a nice breakfast which is included in your room tariff. My favorite site for B&B shopping in London and all of the UK is http://www.4hotels.co.uk. On this site you can also look for a B&B in a specific region of London and most listings offer starting rate info and a link to the B&Bs website. If you don’t see a link for a B&B you are looking at it’s worth googling the name of the place since the site doesn’t have websites for all of the B&Bs that are on the web. From personal experience I can recommend the Hotel St. Simeon B&B in Kensington http://www.stsimeon.com/. This B&B had spacious rooms, gorgeous lobby, great breakfasts and was in a really nice area of the city, right off Gloucester Road tube station. I've also stayed in the Vegas hotel http://www.vegashotel.co.uk/ near Victoria Station. This room was bizarre since you entered through the loo to get to the bed, however, at least it was ensuite, cheap, clean, included breakfast and had a television. That area around and behind Victoria has dozens of similar B&Bs, and the same is true of areas surrounding most of the city's main central train stations, King's cross area has loads, it's not quite as close to the city center but it is close to excellent transportation. Staying near Victoria is a good idea because of all the great transportation connections and it's a safe area. Rates for these types of B&Bs usually start at around 40 pounds ($80) for a double room.
