What are some innovative airport ideas?

I am going to have a ten hour layover at heathrow airport(London) does anybody have any ideas of what I can do?

    You don't say from where you travelling from. Do you need a visa for UK? If you have a transit visa, then you are not allowed out of the airport. If you don't need any visa, and considering you have never been in London, then I would personally get out of the airport, get on the Piccadilly line and get off at Piccadilly Circus and have a stroll around the centre including Trafalgar Square, Westminster with Big Ben. If you consider 5 hrs to get out and in again (1 hr travelling each way), you are left with at least 5 hours visit to London. Of course the best way is to ask at the security/passport control gate control that you want go out and in again once in Heathrow. I have done this myself once in Chicago USA and once in Munich, Germany.

heathrow is a good way out of london and if you are an international passenger you have a 2 hour check in, not an hour like internal passengers so you have a good 5-6 hours out of your time spent traveling to and from the airport and your check in time, its not really worth going to london
