What is the best walking route in Scotland? Start in Edinburgh 10 days later Leave scotland from Edinburgh?

• My two friends and I are going up to Scotland for 10 days our coach arrives in Edinburgh on May 12th and I leave from Edinburgh May 22. We want to see all we can during our trip and plan to day walk and take transport when ever possible. Are there any routes we should take/ best way to get up to the Highlands and still be able to get back to Edinburgh for the Coach?

It's actually in the wee town centre bit at a bridge On the way back the train from Fort William takes you directly to G/gow Queen Street to connect to Edinburgh Waverly.
