Can I do the duke of Edinburgh?

I haven't done expedition for Duke of Edinburgh Award. Can I get the full award without doing expedition?

  • Can I forge the signatures expedition section in my book. Will they check if we went on the expedition even though there will be a signature on there? I did all the other sections in the book, including the practice expedition. But I cannot make the dates my youth group is going and they aren't running the scheme next year.

  • Answer:

    Not a good idea. The book will be carefully checked to validate the award. You can speak to your co-ordinator who can put you in touch with a group who are doing an expedition, so that you can complete the award. The number should be in your book.

The group leader also submits a list to the DofE comity stating all who have completed each part of the award level. You could fake the signature but you'll be caught.
