When is the best time of year to go on an African Safari?

When is the BEST time of the year to go to Edinburgh, Scotland? I want to visit my friend there sometime early

  • next year. I want to go at a time when there isnt so many crowds, when all the attractions are open and when the weather is great.

    April, May June or early July are best for weather in Edinburgh, the rain is warmer then and usually not horizontal and you occasionally see the sun. All the attractions are open all year round but are not so crowded. Edinburgh gets really busy at the end of July with the Tattoo, Festival and Fringe. You will have a great time but there is no guarantee that the weather will be good.

Well Beautiful brown butterfly....I agree with other answerer's about the weather (LOL), but there's always plenty to do in Edinburgh at any time of the year. February-April are usually pretty quiet, but are amongst the coldest months though.

There is no such thing as a "good time to visit edinburgh", its to unsafe these days, over run with neds, or as the English call them, chavs. Avoide Nedinburgh!

Weather generally not so great in Edinburgh,you want good weather go to Australia!!!I lived there and August was a warm ,sunny month,but its pretty unpredictable,and its always full of tourists at that time of year!Awesome place to visit,though,with heaps to do!

I was in Edinburgh a few years ago at the end of May and it was gorgeous! We had warm, sunny weather all week and it really only rained one day when we went into the Highlands. BUT.....everyone, even the locals, were amazed at the weather. I was there visiting a friend who was studying in Ireland and even she said that my trip was the first time in the 5 months that she lived there, that they had nice weather.

I'm afraid this is an impossibility. For one it ALWAYS rains in Scotland! Ask your friend to meet you at the North Pole it will be warmer!
