Does all of your hair have to be in a UK passport photo?

US Passport Photo Cardiff, UK?

  • Hello all, I would like to ask where I can get a valid photo for an US passport in Cardiff. The US embassy site makes it clear that vending machine photos will be rejected so I cannot use the automated passport photo machines used for British Passports. I thank you in advance!

    Go to a Jessops, photography shop they take the photos for you and make sure they are correct for official identification! :)

It depends on what the US accepts as a passport photograph. The photo needed for a UK passport has altered considerably to meet the standards set for a biometric passport and the ones that the booths churn out are not that good...I had mine done at Klicks...they even cut them to the correct size. You would need to find out exactly what the requirements are for the US photo and then make enquiries at a photographers Jessops/Klick or some such place as to whether they can fulfill those requirements. nb I have not given the previous answers the thumbs downs...it wasn't me, honest!

newport has a passport office, they can do a photo in there offices and make sure its vaild, train to newport from cardiff is like 10 mins ,or some stores do vaild photos ,certain photoshops etc but gota go to the right ones, like somone said above, jessops ,look around and ask if not go to passport office x

Most small photographers will do it. Depends where you live. I went to one in the Globe Centre in Wellfield Road, Roath. He did it and I waited about 10 mins for developing, cost £5.

I recently had to get passports photos for my 9 week old daughter I went to photographer called Chris Waite on Church Street in Maindee Newport it cost me £12.00 for 4 pics so he might be able to do your photos

Any Snappy Snaps can take a US passport photo, you just have to specify when you go in that it's a US passport photo you need
