Look at "The Western Daily Press" also, for acommodation, Redland (I used to live there) is "student land", lots of big houses split into flats, Anywhere round Hamptn Road (go to Google Earth and look around on their Street camera) Don`t try Saint Pauls unless you like living in a "red-light" area, with drug dealers and crack-heads for neighbours

Look also at Horfield (Bristol 7 area) which is close to the Gloucester Road (A38) with shops, etc., and a straight run into the City Centre. Perhaps Bedminster (Bristol 3 area) is another possibility. Avoid Southmead and Knowle. The lower the area number, the closer the area is to the City Centre of Bristol 1.
