Is Bristol a safe city?

Are Patchway, Mangotsfield and Soundwell considered parts of Bristol, despite being outside the city boundary?

  • I was wondering if the areas of Patchway, Mangotsfield and Soundwell, as well as other areas like Kingswood and Bradley Stoke are considered part of Bristol by Bristolians? These areas appear to be a continuation of Bristol but aren't under the city council.

Personally I think of Mangotsfield and Soundwell as outer Bristol, but not really Patchway. Maybe its just because I have friends living in Mangotsfield and Soundwell. It really depends who you ask.

Patchwegians (people wot live in Patchway) would kick 'ee up yer brakcet if you called 'em Bristolians. They lives in South Glo'ster. So do the poor unforunates wot live in "Sadly Broke". Them other places your listed are all part of Bris'le 'co they speaks different. The city council are generally considered to be a bunch of self-serving incompetents by everyone exept them wot votes for 'em - or them wot don't bother to vote at all.

As someone who lives closely outside Bristol, but not in any of the above mentioned places, I would agree Patchway, Mangotsfield and Soundwell are considered parts of Bristol, despite being outside the city boundary.
