There's a permanant ice rink in Brighton. You'll find it in Queens Square by the Clock Tower in the centre of town. Unfortunately it's about the same size as a second class stamp - but it's ice. We used to have a full size rink here in the 60s - the old Ice Stadium remembered with much affection. Have you ever seen those naughty boys who form a line from the centre of the rink going outwards and would spin round and round. The boy in the middle would be spinning on the same spot and the boy at the other end would be going round at about 1,850 miles per hour! That boy on the end was me, that boy was! (until I flew off finishing up on top of the tea bar being hit over the head with a saucepan by an angry cook, that is!)
