Is it feasible to live in Brighton and work in London?

  • I am considering applying for a job in Brixton London, but I don't particularly want to live in London. I lived in Brighton for years and so know it well and would enjoy living there again. How feasible is it to live in Brighton and work in Brixton. How much is a train season ticket from Brighton to London? How long would it take in the morning to get from Brighton to Brixton? What time train would I need to get in the morning from Brighton?

Brighton is very much a commuter town. My father has lived in Brighton and worked in London for 32 years. However, the season tickets are very expensive. Brixton is in Zone 2 so you'll either need a zone 1-2 tube ticket to get from Victoria to Brixton or can be included in your season ticket.
