Who has been to the Hammersmith Apollo, London?

Birmingham to HMV Hammersmith Apollo (London) ?

  • I live in Stourbridge, which is about 1hour from birmingham, and ive just won tickets to a Take That event in Hammersmith Apollo which is in London..How long in the car would it take? Or has anyone know of a coach that would take me there? HELP PLZ!!!

  • Answer:

You'd be looking at about a 3 to 4 hour journey, depending on the time of day. I'd probably drive, and get to the M42, then take the M40 to London. You can certainly get a coach from Birmingham, but I don't know how you'd get back to Stourbridge. I live in Birmingham, and my son is a musician, every time he plays in Stourbridge, I have to pick him up after the gig, because he can't get a bus or train to Birmingham, so I assume there aren't any going the other way late at night either.

I'd get the train from Stourbridge Junction to Snow Hill and then get on the Chiltern Rail Train to London. From there get the tube to Hammersmith. It will be the cheapest, fastest and most comfortable option. By car you are looking at a 3-4 hour drive, then you have to factor in the cost of petrol, paying the congestion charge and paying for a car park. You could get a National Express Coach to London, You would have to get into B'ham then walk to Digbeth though.
