How to dial a number from Canada to the UK?

How would I dial a number to Belfast UK from Winnipeg Canada?

  • It says the number is not in service. Here is the number 447760 and then im not giving the rest... also one time he said there was 077 at the beginning, im soo confused

    Don't pay attention to Sarah, her instructions apply only to calling a landline number but the one you have there is a mobile number. You need to dial 011 44 7760... and the rest of the number. Miss off the leading zero before the 7s. Thats only used when calling from within the UK. If it still says the number is not in service then I guess your friend made a mistake with the number and you'll have to ask him again.

Forget about the 077 bit if you live in Canada so before the 44 number insert 011. 28 will not be needed as this is only for Northern Irish landline numbers when 4477 numbers are cell phone/mobile numbers. If it was a Belfast landline it would start 442890. Hope this helps, David

that looks like a mobile number, like 07760...., which leads me to believe you are phoning a mobile. which would mean that it is 00447760....

All mobile phone numbers in the UK have 11 digits,so until you have the proper number there's no way to help.. sorry
