Has anyone being skiing in scotland at cairngorm mountain in february, is the snow conditions good?

  • we've just booked to go skiing in scotland at cairngorm mountain in february 10th-15th, i just wanted to know whether the skiing there is good? is the snow good, is there plenty of it? were all the slopes open when you went? thanks.

  • Answer:

There was snow down to low levels in north-east Scotland last week. Most has melted at low levels, but there must be a reasonable deposit left on the mountains. The bad news though is that our past few winters have given very little snow at all. If we should get a mild spell, a lot of snow could disappear even by February. So if you're superstitious, cross your fingers for the next month!

Facilities are good a lot of money has been spent over the last few years developing the area for skiing and tourists but like the previous response said not much good if there is no snow. It has been snowing on and off over the last few days so with a bit of luck you will be OK next month. You can check the weather on their website www.cairngormmountain.co.uk
