Buying laptops in waterford ireland or somewhere?

• I am moving from California to Waterford Ireland and want to know how I can purchase a laptop/notebook.? I am moving from California to ireland for how long i do not know. Where is the closest place that I can buy a decent laptop or notebook for internet use and basic e-mail and basic office documents software. I am arriving with limited income and will have no job in ireland but need this tool to keep in touch with friends, keep up my office skills and look for work on line in ireland. Also how much are these and how much is it to get an internet set up from your house and how do you do this. Can anyone tell me the cost of all of this and the closest and easiest way for me to get set up once I arrive witout running all over the place..cannot find a computer store in waterford and how do you get internet set up in ireland via phone or wireless who does this over there the phone company or what and how much monthly to have this all done. wil it be difficult and costly to get myself set up in my moms house with a basic laptop. or notebook something very light I can carry also if need be.----thanks a million!! 2 seconds ago - 4 days left to answer.

  Get one in California and bring it with you, laptop/notebooks are about 50% more expensive here than in the states. We have a much higher sales tax (21%), things are generally more expensive here and you'll get destroyed by the exchange rate.
