How to get into the railway service?

Whats the best way to get from Dublin Airport to Naas Road, South West Dublin?

  • Need to get from Dublin Airport to a hotel on Naas Road, near John F Kennedy Industrial Estate. How much would a taxi cost roughly? Could I use the light railway to get close then finish the journey by foot/taxi/bus? Is there a bus service from the airport? Thanks in advance!

  • Answer:

That would be an expensive taxi run from the airport. Get the airport express into the city centre first, to Heuston station, then take the LUAS to the Red Cow stop, then a taxi from there.

e mail the hotel and ask them what is your best transport option from the airport to the hotel. they may have a free courtesy bus, or have an arrangement with a private bus company. it's worth a try.

get the airport bus (the 747) to Hueston station, then the Luas to the Naas road. It should cost less than €10. A taxi should cost about €35 - €40

Christine

Fly over it in a plane and parachute out.

Get the Luas ( Tram ) to Hueston railway station, then bus straight to Airport less than a fiver takes 30 minutes, Taxi 30 /50 Euro depending on the taxi , with traffic on the M50 could take an hour
