Whens the best time to buy a flight ticket from Dublin, Ireland to Austin, Texas?

  • I'm planning a trip to the SXSW live music festival in Austin in March. I've got the time booked off work for it and my original plan was to buy the flight ticket as soon as the time off was approved. I've since been told by three different friends that I should wait till a certain time to book the ticket for the best deal. I thought it would be best to see if there is anyone who has actually done this trip and knows when the best time to buy is?

Some, like KLM, start offering you the tickets cheaper near the time in order to ensure their plane is filled.
