How can get to study in Dublin?

I am a international student(study visa) in Dublin. Could I get a pps No?

  • I am a international student(study visa) in Dublin. Could I get a pps No? My landlord asked for my pps No today. He said the only thing needed to apply a pps No is the passport. But I am not quite sure.

  • Answer:

Yes, you need a PPS number to register with a doctor, to open a bank account and pretty much everything else. You need your current passport or national identity card, a letter from your college/university showing that you are registered for a course and evidence of your address in Ireland (a bill or rental agreement is usually enough). If you have a visa, bring that too. It takes about 10 days to three weeks to get your PPS no. You find your nearest social welfare office on this site: http://www.welfare.ie/index.html
