How to hide a rubber dildo from airport and body scanners?

Does dublin airport have "full body scanners"?

  • if any of you have passed through Dublin airport in the last month or so id greatly appreciate some information on these machines. me and my family will be traveling through Dublin airport to Sweden in a few weeks time and im getting sort of worried about this. i really dont want to submit myself to these dangerous machines, as from what iv heard they increase the risk of cancer drastically and i dont want that for me or my family. i also really hate the idea of them seeing you completely naked, i mean thats a violation of our rights and surely when they scan a minor it counts as child porn as they may even save the images. if you refuse the scan can you be given an invasive search? do they go to extremes? i really dont want to be felt up by some security weirdo in an airport as im only 17. so i guess my questions are; are there full body scanners in Dublin airport? what happens if you refuse to be scanned? how invasive are the searches? is it just a pat down or do you have to strip? just how dangerous are these machines? and will they have them in Sweden? thanks a million for taking the time to answer, im really worried about this and considering not going.

No. You put your bags/any metal you have on/your phone etc in a dish and it goes through the scanner. You however just have to walk through a security detector. It detects any metal/etc that may be on you. It is not a full body scanner, it doesn't x-ray you and they can't see through your clothes with it. It's only a detector. So if you don't want to draw attention to yourself, don't make it go off, and make sure you take off your belt & jewlerry. If the security detector does go off (like, make a noise) then they will ask you if you have anything metal on you that you forgot to take off, if you have, then they will make you go back and walk through it again. If it goes off again, they will frisk search you, which just means that they feel around your clothes to try to catch any concealment, but it's not likely that this will happen if you just make sure you take all your metal off. Even if it does happen, the frisk search isn't bad. They only feel gently around your legs/arms/pockets/etc, it's just a pat down. You do not have to strip! The machines are not dangerous at all because they are only metal detectors, not the full body scanner that you are afraid of. I'm not sure if they will have them in Sweden, but I don't think they will because it's only a new thing in America and I highly doubt that it has reached Europe yet. You can't refuse to go through the metal detector.. They won't let you past security if you don't. But I don't see why you would refuse, all you do is walk under an arc thingy.
