Answer:
Universities in the U.S.A. far more expensive than the ones in Turkey; if you're planning to spend two semesters in a state university like Bogazici. Stay away from private universities in Turkey because they're really expensive... some of them, like the one called Sabanci University, are as expensive as 20,000 USD or so... so I would recommend you to apply national universities. I guess you will be paying a small fee... I would also recommend you to check every schools website; since they all have different admission procedures and educational fees. Good luck in Turkey. Edited: With this in mind, checking the school's language requirements will be another important step in your eliminating process. Moreover, some classes that you're looking forward to register and study may not be offered in the institution that you're willing to study. So... I would recommend you to have a comprehensive talk with your advisor; I'm assuming your school has a study abroad office... so maybe instead of paying fees as high as $20000 for private schools, u will pay the same education fee that you pay per semester in the U.S.A... I mean u pay the amount to your school, and you pay nothing to the school in Turkey.. there are many procedures that not only depends on the school that you are willing to study in Turkey but also on the school that you're studying in the U.S.A. Again Good luck in Turkey; a beautiful country!

Boğaziçi University is one of the best (maybe best) universities in social sciences. it also has a very nice spot near Bosphorus and life is really cool in there. if you want to have fun and live the good side of Istanbul, you should definitely go there. however, if you are interested in academic career in engineering or science, Bogaziçi University is not a good choice. you must think of METU (in Ankara), Sabancı (in Istanbul), Bilkent (in Ankara) if you are interested in Art and visual art, think of Bilgi University and for architecture, think of Mimar Sinan University. (both in Istanbul) Turkey is not expensive compared to US. you wont have problem.
