How much money does it cost for one person to live well during one year in Turkey ? Rent, food, etc?
-
For example, if I want to spend one year in a nice city, Istanbul or Ankara or Izmir or a city on the coast , in a good neighbourhood ( safe place, not a ghetto) , in a 2 rooms apartement How much is the rent of the apartement? How much is the gas for a car ? How much is bus and metro tickets ? How much is a menu in a normal restaurant ? How much is the phone, internet, energy bills ? How much is health bills ( doctor, etc) ? How much money do I need for one month, for one year? I am Israeli, and I would like to spend several months in another country, to relax in a nice foreign city, and then come back to my country Thank you in advance

Answer:
All right... How much is the rent of the apartement?1000-2000 ytl Monthly How much is the gas for a car ? 250-500 ytl monthly How much is bus and metro tickets ? I'm not sure... How much is a menu in a normal restaurant ? 10-45 YTL How much is the phone, internet, energy bills ? average 250 YTL How much is health bills ( doctor, etc) ? 100-200 per visit (w/out insurance) not including prescriptions. How much money do I need for one month, for one year? I am not sure, depends on your groceries, appliance needs (if the apartment comes with appliances, less of course) parking, how much you drive, etc...) But you can use the average amount of costs above, as an idea...

it really depends on what standarts you ask for. Istanbul is the most expensive city. But as other friends told there is e wide range for a monthly cost. You can find an apartmant which is 800 YTL or 5000 YTL. You can pay 15 YTL or 90 YTL for a meal. It really has a wide spread. Also would you like to live by the sea, in the city center, a little suburban? You have to consider them all.
