Why did the "Ottoman architecture" look so similar to Bizantine architecture?.. was it because Turks copied it?

The artists of the Renaissance were influenced by the Romans and the Greeks and also by a people that you despise: The Arabs... Only a illiterate barbarian would make such stupid allegations. Byzantine Architecture wasn't inspired from the Moorish architecture, it was inspired by the ROMAN ARCHITECTURE. The Staffel mistakes barrel vaults in Agia Sofia, 'vaulted basilica' type, with the 'Moorish' Architecture. Vaults originated from Anatolia, from the Sumerian graves, the Persian edificies But Byzantine Architecture doesn't only comprise one type of churches, not even one type of basilica's (church type) and has also many other official statal buildings to show. And the Ottomans didn't copied the Byzantine Architecture but they barrowed elements. Their art is influenced more by the Arabs, we talk about islamic art, which I really like very very much. In culture you can talk about COPYING only when someone incorporates elements without changing them, but most of the times people alterate other ideas and create something on their own.

Yes, Byzantine Architecture influenced Ottoman Architecture, which in reality is quite normal as the capital city switched hands...but the Ottomans did add there minarets which represent Islam to the domed mosques...but all great ideas have been copied and altered such as the Colosseum in Rome and modern US Football stadiums, same concept but different designs

Byzantine Architecture was inspired by Moorish Architecture because of the spread of Islam during that time. It is characterized by the addition of pointed elements, particularly in the dome. They introduce the onion dome, addition of pinnacles, turretts(not sure of the spelling), colorful mosaic murals, and introduction of colored buildings.
