I planned on taking a holiday to turkey probably June. Is it safe to travel there?

Turkey is a fairly safe country. It borders Iraq but it is quite unlike the other countries around. I have traveled to Istanbul as well as Ankara. The places are safe.

Honey, the latest incident of violence was about a young women travelling alone, at night, and getting on the cars of total strangers. Would you do it in your own country/city? Whatever danger there is, it is valid for all of us and we are getting on by being prudent and logical. The world in general isnot a kindergarten for women. We have to behave like responsible adults. I dont know. there is no war or civil war in inside turkey. there are a little hot war in east-southern border and it is too local. but if you read latest news about italian tourist,it can be a reason for fearing. an italian artist killed. but your probability of dying is %0.0000001

Well, even though it is not safe to travel the Eastern Turkey, it is really safe and enjoyable to visit Bodrum which is in the Western Turkey. You shouldn't be worrying about anything while visiting Bodrum as nearly the half of Bodrumers consist of retired Russions, Germans and Turkishs but that desn't mean you are not going to have fun!! Make sure that you visit Halikarnas!!!
