How to quit smoking cold turkey?

I am a 19 year old girl. I have been smoking a little over a year....I HATE it, smoking even grosses me out a bit, but i feel like i need it when i drive, before i go to work, or when i have been drinking. I cant think of a friend of mine who doesnt smoke, so when i have tried to quit it was so hard because they all smoke....I have little self control. I exercise about three or four times a week, and i am very health consious when it comes to eating. So smoking is very uncharistic of me. I panic often about the effects of smoking...and i feel terrible about myself. I broke up all my cigarettes today and have decided tomorrow is going to hopefully be the first day of not smoking. What can i do to help me? How can i detox my lungs? Someone at my work told me they quit smoking after 10 years by going on a juice fast for three days. PLEASE I NEED ADVICE!

You are at the perfect age to stop,the real damage happens when you smoke over a prolonged period of time. You dont need to detox your lungs,your only 19,your body will detox itself but only if you break smoking now. Cut down and use the patches,eventually your body will react and you will lose the urge. Theres no overnight answer.
