Are all people who are Czech citizens also EU citizens?

How to cancel Schengen/EU visa requirements for Turkish people?

  • As you know many countries in the world require visas from ordinary Turkish citizens. Green and Red passport holders are already exempt so politicans do not really care.In this time visa is a shame and should be removed when Turkey and EU are so close. In your opinion what can be done to make Turkish people exempt from EU visas? Public pressure, demonstrations, counter visas etc. Please do not give narrow-minded, racist and emotional answers but constructive and thoughtful answers written in English language only.

  • Answer:

Unfortunately political conjunture is not suitable neither in Turkey not in EU for such an attempt. Some governmental determination is needed just like in December 1997. What I fail to understand is that: The anti-EU lobby in Turkey is now complaining about Sarkozy veto in the third article for the accession negotiations. The guy simply says "You'll not be a full member anyway, so there's no need to negotiate Turkey's suitability for taking the EURO currency and relevant monetary regime.." And the ANTI-EU lobby in Turkey protest EVEN this event.. The Turkish nationalists refuse full EU membership but yet they protest the ending of EURO currency negotiations for Turkey. Madem "AB'yi istemiyoruz.." diyorsunuz, "Siz zaten Avrupalı olmayacaksiniz, parasal birligi gorusmemize zaten gerek yok" diyen Sarkozy'ye niye bozuk atiyorsunuz kardesim? Adam bizim ulusalcilarla ayni telden caliyor iste. Daha ne yapsin? Visa waiving eh? Ask it to the anti-EU campaigners in Turkey not me..

Unfortunately in front of the eyes of Western Europeans specially the French if they don't apply visa to us the Turks they think that there will be a huge immigration. The thing they haven't realised is that (i am talking living in France) looking at their poor conditions and %15 of unemployment percentage actually nobody would really want to come here. Same for Germany. Now when i look at the people who are in France coming from Turkey are political refugees invited by Mme Mitterand. And some students coming for masters or such things like this. I have a daughter born in France so i have the right to take Frech passport but i don't intend to. French people always tell me take it you have good conditions in France. I tell them your conditions are not better than Turkey's conditions. They don't get it. So let's talk briefly:) First of all we have to erase the idea from these people's minds that . We have to tell them that we actually don't need them. They are talking about freedom, don't discriminate people blablablabla. But visa for Turkey is a total discrimination. Imagine even to go to some countries because they entered in EU we need to have visa. Specially ask them for a visa!!! Please! Don't be ridiculous!

That's a dream :) They will always force us to require visa for politic reasons although if one day we will be an EU member!

I accept from the beginning that none of my suggestions are applicable unless we have a government who are watching for mutual benefits and thinking about the prestige of their citizens. some of them are just utopic ideas. 1. we can charge anti-visa taxes from EU citizens for buying a property in Turkey. 2. Force them apply for property registration from embassy and consulate offices in their original country. And choose embassy/consulate staff from most arrogant, "I don't need you, you need me" type of local people. Like the lady in Weakest Link (En zayıf halka). (Sözüm meclisten dışarı) 3. Make, Appointment for an application of a registration of a property is compulsory. charge an application fee by credit card on the phone and refuse registration for simple reason, call back after sometime. 4. We can ask any kind of official papers (marriage papers, bank account statements, tax papers, company registration papers, sign registration etc. etc.) before they buy a property in Turkey. 5. Make applications have to be made personally :) 6. Apply everything above for selling EU products to Turkey also. 7. Apply every kind of bureaucracy for EU winning, single-sided-benefit relations.

It's a shame, i went to French consulate for 8 times. If we manage to join EU then we can forget this shame, but I'm very pessimistic about this subject.
