To the above poster: You are WRONG. Gas always seems to be a bit cheaper in Ontario. Funny since we refine it here. Check out www.gasbuddy.ca to compare prices.

They aren't lower compared to the States. Prices up here equal about 70 cents a US gallon but as far as I know most States are down to 50 cents or so. Diesel is even more expensive. I don't know what the prices are per litre in Ontario though.

My understanding is that Alberta only pays one tax...ergo cheaper.

Gas in Edmonton is NOT lower than in Ontario or the US. Not sure where you got the idea it was.
