Where to find real oil jobs?

What website can i go to to find jobs in edmonton alberta, in the oil patch?

  • This is ridiculous. Edmonton is bigger thank brandon as well as carlyle and arcola area in sask and its nearly impossible to find a good job bank on the internet for it!!! I move in two weeks and have only put out 10 applications because i cant find any sites what so ever for oil patch work. http://www.saskjobs.ca/ something like that site would be prefered but anything right now would be sweet. Just need a site that has oil patch listings so i can email in resumes. If you guys have any ideas please throw them out there, thanks!

  • Answer:

There are a few sites you can check out , not to mention, all the bigger oilfield players have their own company websites. Jobshop dot ca is one with the town or city name in front of the joshop, shows local area listings, even the national job bank at govenrment of canada dot ca has listings. Having lived in Edmonton fron the 70's -90's, I also found taking a drive to places and spending a day knocking on doors works very well. Good luck , you can also check out temp agencies but if they have work, you can find it as well.
