Where can I shoot pool in Philadelphia?

Generally, if you shoot fast in pool, are your chances of winning the game reduced?

  • 90% of players take their time to look at table and select the ball to shoot and type of shot to make, aim and shoot. Most take 10 seconds or more to shoot but I have seen players who come to table and start shooting and are quite accurate.

    At the pro level, well, let's face it, if they are pro's their style and pace work for them. At lower levels, the problem with shooting fast has probably more to do with strategy and patterns rather than accuracy. Certainly accuracy can suffer, but in some instances, shooting fast can help you stop overthinking shots. However, I think it's positional play and planning your run, break outs, potential safeties, etc is what ends up reducing your chances of winning in the end.

It varies how you shoot if you can analyze the shot and you don't really need that long of a warm up stroke then shooting fast will not effect you however if you require a warm up stroke and try to shoot fast yeah your chances of winning are going to be reduced.

Yes, not all the time but quite a few times I would suspect that playing fast would ruin your game, as you may miss a few things that you might have seen if you were playing slower.

Yes I think in most cases players who shoot too fast are hurting their game but there are exceptions such as Earl Strickland and Tony Drago

Personal preference, those who shoot fast and have to analyze a difficult shot miss, but it was a difficult shot.
