Whats the best make of snooker cue?

  • Okay, basicly i have a problem actualy using some certain makes of snooker cues, because it tends to rub on my hand while using it, and makes a squeeking noise. &+ Im thinking of buying one in the next few weeks, and im not sure what to do, because if i buy it, and it rubs on my hand and squeeks, im ******. Now the cues in the snooker hall i go to a always right for me, anyidea what there made of? Its the basic snooker cues that are supplied.

    gino. the best cue that money can buy for snooker are custom made by hand. There are a couple of cue makers in UK who can make you a brilliant cue. John Parris, Trevor White, Mike Wooldridge, Robin Cook etc. If you google their names you will find their websites on which you can order snooker cue made to your exact specs. Proper snooker cues are often made from Ebony butt and Ash shaft. Of course you can add decorative splicing to your cue but it will not affect how the cue plays. Regular snooker specs are 9.5mm tip, 58" lenght, 18 oz weight 30mm butt diameter.

Gino, The best cue is called a barracuda. As for the cue squeaking or sticking on your hand [ chalk where the cue rests on your hand ] this will then run smooth, it is the sweet on your hand that makes it stick or drag.. hope this is of some help to you... Player.

there is a minor trick your missing !! sprinkle a little talcum-powder on your hand....that absorbs moisture & makes the stick travel easier
