Where To Buy Snooker Cue In Singapore?

Should a snooker cue get retipped after you buy it?

  • Tomorrow I will buy my first snooker cue. I've read in a book that when you buy a new cue you have to re-tip it right away because fabric tips are not good at all. Is that true?

It's a waste of time anybody answering this now that the so-called expert has posted an answer because it's a foregone conclusion that he will use a load of his accounts to vote himself best answer. Impossible to say unless you know what sort of tip the cue has to start with and I've only ever seen leather ones on a snooker cue, there's no need to change it just for the sake of it, it might be perfectly all right, especially if your paying a decent price for it. I suggest you try the cue for a few weeks at least until you get used to it, then maybe give it some thought. EDIT: Apologies to the questioner but I know how much my favourite stalker (nice language) enjoys my photographs, and this one does demonstrate that being a marksman could well improve your pool/snooker, so here's another one, it shows me in my favourite aircraft the English Electric Lightning while based at RAF Valley in North Wales in 1962., as it's in my Fickr account, it's easy enough to check that. The crossed rifles badge on my right sleeve is a Marksman Badge. http://www.flickr.com/photos/burryport/6448915221/

If you are buying a (true snooker cue) If is any type of quality stick it should be a leather tip and a smaller mm.

i've NEVER seen a fabric-tipped cue? all the sticks i have ever seen are leather-tips !! ....this might be a poor choice for a stick?....i need more information

Would you recognize a bad tip if it bit you on the butt? A GOOD tip won't need replacing for a year at least, A Good cue will come with a good tip, the maker won't let a cheap tip ruin its reputation. A cheap tip comes on a cheap cue, and you can replace it at your pleasure.
