Should I do winter track?

Do the Luge, Skeleton, and Bobsled all go down the same track at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics?

  • Is it all the on the same track for these three sports? Also, if it is on the same track, which one of those three sports generates the fastest speed and can finish the track in the fastest time? (e.g. - is a Luger generally faster than a Skeleton person?)

  • Answer:

Yes, it's all on the same track although the start locations are different. I think four-man bobsleigh achieve the highest speeds. Following the horrible luge accident, the luge starts were moved down so it reduced their speed. Skeleton didn't change it's start to it was the faster of the two at these Olympics. Skeleton is usually a little faster than luge anyway because competitors get to take a running start, while luge they just pull themselves with a couple of hand paddles.

They all go on the track at whistler, but the starts are different depending on gender and type of sport, usually men's luge because they have the highest starting point so they're able to reach speeds of 90+

Same track, different starting points. A Luger is faster than a skeletoner, depending on what track you use.

No, they do not.
