Why can't I get a job at the olympic games?

• Its been nearly 16 months now and I still haven't been able to get a job. I work as a qualified and experienced Plumber, but the last year has really been bad and the industry I work in is practically dead. I was hoping to get a job on the London 2012 Olympic games, but I can't find ads anywhere. Once I used to get several calls a day from agencies looking to employ me.   The Olympic Games themselves won';t be hiring any plumbers. If you want work on the venues, you'd have to apply to the various firms that won the contracts.
