Are the Pan American Games on TV?

Why didn't Los Angeles try to host the 2015 Pan American games?

• So L.A. didn't even get the American bid to host the 2016 Olympics, why didn't they try something smaller and go for a a bid to host the Pan American games?

  Because there isn't much American interest in the Pan-Am games (as compared to Canada and many of the Latin American countries). No major USA television network has covered the last 3 editions of the Pan-Am Games. If there is indifferent interest at home for these games, then that is why it remains unlikely the U.S. will be hosting the Pan American games in the near future.
