How to do a back kickover?

Back kickover holiday????????

  • I have a £5 bet on with my dad that I will be able to do a back kickover by our holiday on sunday. I get £1000 pounds a year for not doing anything so I want to do this to feel like I have earned the money. He said he would give me £10 if I could do a split. All my splits are about 3 - 4 ins off the ground and I can do a back kickover off a 2 - 3 inch elevation. Pleaseeeeeee? If I could do both he would feel really proud too. I get left alone often so I can go on weird websites if it helps. I can also get away with eating about 200 - 500 cals because I eat that amount anyway. Do I need to eat more? Anything, please?

  • Answer:

to do a back kickover, try it on the ground first, not off an elevation. then, if you still cant get it, try getting your hands and ankles as close together as possible. this gives you more of an arch and less space to kick over. for a split, do a lunge (kneel on one knee.) then straighten your front leg and put your nose down to your leg. then do the split. and keep practicing every day. http://gymnastics.about.com/od/trainingadvice/ss/frontsplit.htm http://www.ehow.com/how_2240299_do-back-kickover-gymnastics.html
