How do i do a backhandspring on a trampoline?

Is using a trampoline easier than a cheese mat while learning a backhandspring?

  • Answer:

When learning how to do a backhandspring, both a cheese mat and trampoline are useful. I would suggest to use the cheese mat first (with a spotter!) and then work on the tramp. The trampoline can actually be more difficult to do standing backhandsprings; however a roundoff backhandspring works well on them. Good luck!!! and have fun:) and don't forget to have a spotter in the beginning!

I used a trampoline while I was learning my back handspring. The bounce helped me get over a lot easier. I would say the trampoline is better then a cheese mat even though it has a slope. Encouragement will help also!

i think a trampoline is easier since you get the bounce of a tramp to help and it can help you get your legs over , but a cheese mat can help you use you own strength to help you get you legs over, after that i would use a tumble track

Cheese mat is a bunch easier, since it is'nt flat. Thats how I learned how to do mine!
