Why do some countries pay more money to their athletes for winning gold medal than others?
-
Thank you so much if you can decently help
-
Answer:
Because many other countries feel very unaccomplished, and winning a gold medal is probably one of the best things they have ever achieved, so it would only make sense for them to pay their athletes more money.

They pay them that much for all there hard work they did to win that gold medal. Plus if some other country offers to pay them more they will go to that country and play for them. If that athlete goes to another country they lose that talent.

It can also be just because the country is just richer, or their economy is just better. Simple economics.
