What time will the Beijing Olympics Opening Ceremony show on US channels and on CCTV?

  • I know NBC is showing it in the US, but I was wondering what time it will be shown. Also, I was wondering what time it will be shown on CCTV. I'm assuming it should be shown live on CCTV, but I wanted to be sure.

    Go to the NBC website, go to olympics, click TV and Online Listings, enter your zipcode and it will give you the schedule and channel of all the events. The Opening Ceremony will be shown on my local NBC station from 7-11 CDT on Friday the 8th.

I think NBC will show it recorded during prime time in USA. NBC has never shown any opening ceremonies live which is bad. They only care about revenue from ads.

I have the same question as you. I know it starts at 20:08 on August 8 for Beijing time. But I am not sure if it will air at 5:08 am in American time or rebroadcasted at 8:08PM Friday night in America. Let me know if you find out any other information. --Irene
