Bernard Lagat vs the Kenyans?

• There was an race not to long ago where Current American (former Kenyan runner) Bernard Lagat was running in a major race against the Kenyans. At one point in the race, Lagat attempted to make a move and the Kenyans Sped up and boxed him in (i think). One of the Kenyans Wagged his finger at Lagat as if to say "you're not going by us". My question is, does anyone know exactly which race this was? I'm pretty sure it was the 2008 olympics but I'm not too sure

  I am not sure which race you are talking about, but the Kenyans run as a team, even though they are not supposed to do that in open races. They also dislike Lagat who left Kenya so his family could be Americans. Lagat says the Kenyans do not team up against him, but it certainly seems so in major races. In the 2008, Olympics, Lagat did not run well, he was suffering from an illness and Bekele won both those races.
