What are the requirements to become a cheerleader in high school?

well if you can hit your moves stiff and quick and do a toe-touch your basically in in most tryouts they will make you do a cheer dance and your toe touches then any tumbling ALWAYS and i mean always smile(with your teeth showing) no matter what in tryouts show spirit in and spirit out most of the times for the real tryouts they will do an individual evaluation with 1-3 people thats when you show your spirit always when you clap keep your elbows together and your hands lip height and for your jumps you need to getthem high enough try working on a trampoline a bit if you dont have a trampoline or know anyone who does ask someone to lift you when your doing a toe touch till you get it good they will need to hold you at your waist and do a simple 8 count on 1 2 clap your hands on 3 4 make a high V on 5 6 swing your right arm in counter clockwise and your left arm clockwise, bend your knees a little then jump(this is when your back needs to lift you) and remember to point your toes on 7 8 land with feet togehter and knees bent, put your hands below your thighs and look up and smile on 8 these go really fast remember try looking at videos on photobucket or youtube of toe touches and cheers to know how to hit your move good http://www.kidzworld.com/article/2492-cheerleading-tips http://www.getpoms.com/pommotion.htm http://cheerleading.about.com/od/learningaboutjumps/a/toetouch_drills.htm http://www.cheermanitoba.ca/motion-gallery.asp and to all the cheerleader haters out there their just jealous because they suck and all they guys like us
