What would be the best design for the olympics?

Anyone else think that the London 2012 Olympics Logo is ugly & not representative of modern British design?

Seen from far that logo gives me the feeling of a pile of pieces about to crumble down. I hope it doesn't reflect the way it's going to go!

It's ugly. Can't speak towards its place in modern British design, being American. But it looks like something we'd do.

It's awful!! I don't know what they were thinking nor how it reflects anything about modern British culture. I truly wish they had asked a few British artists to come up with joint design, a bit of Tracey Emim, Damien Hirst and Rachael White Read or better yet a mindboggler by Bridget Riley!
