What qualifies a sport for the Olympics?

Please, tell me HOW is this a Sport in the Olympics?

  • Snowboarding, how exactly is that a SPORT? All they do is pop wheelies in the snow. Do a flip, here and there. They call that a SPORT? They must be on drugs? Triathlon? That's a sport. Tour De France? That's a Sport. Snowboarding? HOW is that a sport, PLEASE?

  • Answer:

the sports that are a part of the Olympics are there because of a vote of a committee, which is why some events look like a Mountain Dew commercial, and some real sports are not in the Olympics. They are seriously considering adding ballroom dancing. The gymnastics where they bounce a ball on the floor and dance with a ribbon on a stick is not real gymnastics and should not be in the Olympics.

Snowboarding is a sport because it requires training, physical fitness, a fair amount of skill, and can be done competitively. I'd like to see you go up against the elite snowboarders in the Olympics.

There is a certain amount of skill involved, you must credit it with that at least. Don't get me started on dressage though...
