A question about the Olympics?

Stupid/easy question: olympics?

  • i know the olympics are held every four years, and that the next time is london 2012, but why do they have the summer and winter olympics separate? are they equal in importance, or are the summer olympics a bigger deal? i know there is also the winter olympics 2010 coming up. im just confused about which one is more important, or if they are equal. and do they all have different sports, or do some sports compete in both olympics? thanks guys :)

Winter sports involve the cold and summer sports involve the warmth.
