I need help with some horse questions, can you help me.

Serious help with my horse please?

  • before hand, please, I do need help, she is starting to get pretty dangerous and hard to control. Please help me out. My fiance got hurt and so did a minor. The last thing I need is for someone to die like Ive seen before from a horse. any help would be great (I will be reposting this with updates) ok I posted this before, but people asked me most of these questions...so I will update it How much experience do you have handling unruly horses. first time with a rescue horse. she was dominant but i got her out of it. but i have somewhat experience What methods have these trainers tried in the past to break her from this behavior? they didnt know what to do. they said it was not normal. they just said she is just scarred the horses will be taken away from her What breed of horse is she? morgan / arabian Is she in heat? yes Is she turned out with male and female horses? yes both How old is she? she is a rescue but we believe 4-7 How long after you started turning her out did you observe this behavior? right away Was she controllable for a while (weeks) and then started acting this way? yes, better then the old barn Does she appear to be the alpha female of the horses she is turned out with? yes Are you using a shank ( a lead rope with a chain) when you are handling her? yes Do you know how to put a shank on properly to control an unruly horse? not really i just put it under her chin and yank down Does she have pain or a lump in her back where her ovaries are located? no Would you describe her behavior as studdish? what do you mean? i dont get it Are you taking the halter off when you turn her out with the horses? yes Was she turned out with horses at her previous stable? no --------------------------------------… ok below this will be the problem with my horse ok well, we recently moved her to a new barn about a month ago and she was perfectly fine; she let use ride her, ya know, she payed attention to us and respected us, however, she was never turned out with the horses yet. Recently, we just turned her out with horses and she eventually got along with the horses. Now, the problem is, ever since we been turning her out with the horses, she has been acting up big time! I am talking about we can not even put her halter up without a fight. we try to lead her, and she completely defies it. I mean, she goes crazy when she is not with the horses anymore, and she was never like that. She just recently been turned out with the horses, and she is fine when she is with them, but as soon as the horses leave to go back in their stall, she flips and freaks. Now, she acts ok when she is turned out with the horses and we deal with her with the horses near her, however, whenever the horses that she is turned out with goes back inside, or back to their stalls, she starts galloping in circles, starts neying non stop, and its very loud. there is no way of getting her and taking control of her after the horses leave the pasture and/or she leaves their site. She all of the sudden becomes out it. Last time, a friend came and came to get one of the horses and my horse came close to her and almost kicked her. Last time, we were trying to ride her and she was bucking when we kept riding her. Now, she has never kicked or buck, ever. I am not sure what is going on. She was never like this before. Please tell me what exactly I should do. I tried trainers and I just wasted money for nothing. I mean last time I was trying to get her back in her stall, she fought back non stop trying not to go back in her stall and she whipped my fiancee with her head and tossed her into the fence and she got hurt. I mean, should I hit her with a crop when she acts up and tries to take control. Don't state what the problem is and that is all, I need advice ON WHAT TO DO AND WHAT ACTIONS TO TAKE. Thank you guys! any help would be great! last thing... people been saying any question contact me....i have not been able to because your emails were private..if you are kind enough to guide me through this, please leave behind an email.... please help the last thing I want to do is for someone to die like Ive seen previously from another horse.

Hi Will, I can identify with the problem you are having. I had a mare years ago that I just could not handle. I sent her to trainers and professionals, and she would do fine for a few days, then she was back to her ornery self. I knew this situation would never get any better, so I sold her. Best thing I ever did. However, I did hear that two girls were riding and one was ahead of the other. The girl in the back was the one who was riding my horse. The girl in front turned around and saw the girl on my horse on the ground. Nobody saw what happened, but the girl is now a vegetable. My advice is to sell her. Mares tend to be moody and some jusst never get straightened out. Some do well and are trustworthy. But my advice is to sell her and get a good gelding. I am not dissing people that have mares, I am just saying, they are not for a novice person, and I think all would agree with that. Trust me, I good gelding would be a much better horse for someone such as yourself. And do this before someone gets hurt. Best of luck to you ADD: I did read your original question, and the answers that were given to you. Their answers were excellent, but putting something in action for a horse you do not trust is not the way to go if you don't know what you are doing. Obviously, you need good information because you are concerned someone could get hurt. That would be my concern as well. So again, I will give you the best advice I could give anyone that is in your position. Sell her and get a good gelding that you can trust.
